Objectives and goals

MISSION: Our mission is to impart authentic Islamic knowledge in an effective and interactive way while catering to individual learning needs.

VISION: Our vision is to attain the pleasure of God through serving the community by making Islamic knowledge accessible and assisting in its application in everyday life.   

OBJECTIVES

  • As students of IOU, we aspire to pass on the treasures of knowledge to benefit society.
  • To serve the community for the sake of God in a compassionate and patient way.
  • To spread only authentic knowledge of Islam.
  • To instill love and values of Islam in our young generation.
  • To empower the women of our community through education and provide them a platform where they can assist other women while utilizing their skills to their full potential.

Collaboration- sincere attention for the sake of Allah, diligent research, and good presentation.

Authenticity- guided by the orthodox source of the Quran and Sunnah

Compassion – kindness, and empathy are infused in our approach

Creativity– presenting the traditional information in a creative manner

Accountability– following the principle of self-accountability

DELIVERY METHOD

The duration of each course will depend on its requirement. Though the mode of instruction will primarily be English, the instructors can use other native languages for an explanation if need be. All the programs will be delivered via Zoom or other virtual platforms. At the end of each course, the instructors may conduct an assessment to evaluate student understanding and progress. 

CONCLUSION

The main aim of IQRA Academy is to form a group of IOU sister students, where they get a virtual platform to teach and assist other IOU sisters. The concept is not only to accumulate community service hours but continue to be a part of this noble mission in order to benefit the community at large. We are inspired by the founder and chancellor of IOU, Dr. Bilal Philips, and want to carry the mission of our university which is “changing the nation through education” further and spreading authentic Islamic knowledge that we gained from IOU.
